Font - When I first started, in my training, I was told to use the employee NEXT app, which I did. I was also told my by training manager to let her always know when I needed off. I told her the week before Easter and submitted a request in NEXT which was accepted. The company switched apps the day of April 1st. Now the manager is writing me up once again for missing a day which I was told I have off. (The write up before hand was I had a fever of 103.2 and got a doctors note which I submitted a

Font - ADDandCrazy • 19h Trying to reason with these employers gets you nowhere. Staying there just destroys your mental health and gets you bullied out. Handing in your notice just delays things, they don't deserve your last days anyway. So I've gone back to the original tried and tested method F**K YOU, I quit. +1 F**K YOU, I quit, using a megaphone (bullhorn) in their face. Reply 598

Font - Cultureln Decline69 - 19h This is why you need shit in writing so, you could claim up and down that they TOLD you that, but, like here, they claimed ignorance later making you look like a piece of trash. These grey areas and miscommunications have destroyed hospitality, fast food and retail jobs. Reply 274

We just upgraded from our completely different 17 step process last week and didn't tell you - but that's no excuse. You now owe me 3 years of indentured servitude..." "But, I did what I was told to do during training." "I don't like your attitude. Now it's 9 years. You wanna go for 15?" Later on FB: "Nobody wants to work anymore!" 215 Reply

Font - Foxy_locksy1704 • 15h I had a similar situation at a job I had. I put in my PTO request and it was approved so me and my ex took our vacation as planned. Monday morning as we are loading the boat in to the water I get a call from the temporary supervisor asking where I was. I told him I'm on my vacation that I requested and was approved over a month ago. He then told me he saw that and withdrew the approval because he felt it was " a better use of my time to be in the office" I told him l

Font - Armored-Sword • 19h Had a similar situation where I called out and come into work the next day, was accused of being a no call no show, when I clearly spoke to a human being and said I could not make it to work the day before. Also depending on your state your manager could have been breaking the law for writing you up for being sick. Reply 102
